Unlike many modern cities Perth has retained its 'streets' and so there are loads of real shops in real shopping streets which may be browsed in the old fashioned way - including the essential umbrella for the wet days.
The main shopping street is the High Street which stretches from St Pauls church building down to the river Tay with its modern flood defences.
The South Street runs parallel to High Street from County Place to the river. South Street also has its share of shops.
Running between High St. and South St. are: Methven St, Scott St and St John Street.
Each of these also has its share of shops and all within easy reach of plentiful car parks.
